I am in dispatch when there is a loud knock on the front door of the courthouse. I go out to see who it is. There is a young man (about 3rd grade)
on his bike holding a cat.
I ask if I can help him. The young man asks what to do with the cat. He found it sitting in the middle of the street. I tell him to take the cat back where it was and set it on the curb so it can go home when it gets hungry.
He nods and away he goes on his bike still holding the cat.
Of course, now the city guy owes me a small favor. He would have been really pissed to come to the courthouse for this call while football was on.
(for you big city folks, the PD Officer was on call til he came out.
Which is about the same time the football game got over
Sundays are pretty rough around here)

dont even go there, LOL, I rode with a four man PD in Oklahoma while attending Community College. At least we dont shoot vehicles for fleeing and eluding. (of course that was 25 years ago......)

Used to be, if someone committed a felony, then fled, all you had to do was warn them 1 time, then you could shoot them down....or shoot at them anyway. At least thats how it was here in OK.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it is around here somewhere.
However it isnt here, we dont have a jail.:grin:
But on the bright side, we get Burger King or McDonalds
after midnight if we take a road trip to the next county
to drop your assets off at the Jails we use.
