6500 miles, 3 days, 1 baseball game
I left Charlotte, NC Friday evening and flew to San Francisco for the weekend. Had a layover Friday and Sunday in Dallas. What an experience!
I have never flown before and although I had to pretend I was on a loud bus for most of the trips I did look out the window 3 or 4 times.
San Francisco was very different. The people were nice but it was very crowded. We rode the trolly and if the plane ride was as rough as it was then I would not have made it. The city was quite beautiful even with the large homeless population.
I wanted to tour Alcatraz but you needed to book reservations a couple of weeks in advance and this was a spur of the moment trip. We did see the LA Dodgers and the SF Giants game and we had tickets behind 1st base on the lower level about 15 rows up.
I did get stopped by a parking enforcement officer at the SF airport for taking a picture of a SFPD crusier parked out front. He told me I had to have the officer's permission to take pictures of his car
