Castle Doctrine Details State by State?

I've been trying to find the details of Castle Doctrine legislation in states that have it. Does anyone know of a good site for that?

I would like to know some others, but I am specifically interested in Georgia and Michigan. I couldn't seem to find the details at the government websites.

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks, tward. I did the google search and read about 20 different links, and I still could not find the specific wording of the law. Checked the Wikipedia entry, that appeared to have state specific information, but those are not up to date, nor complete in most cases. Some are merely 2 line updates, with no link back to the original.

Ah well. The search continues. For the MI info, I'll just call the local prosecutor's office.

    Anyone know Georgia's?

"castle doctrine" is NOT universal. also try looking up such terms as "justifiable, excusable, and/or non-criminal homicide", criminal/penal code/statutes...

    Thanks, Samuel.

I have managed to find both Georgia and Michigan's wording. Michigan's is so brief, I assumed it wasn't the full text.

Georgia's is definitely set up to protect the shooter. Does anyone know if "dwelling" would include your hotel room if you were visiting the state? I would think so.

I thought Norm would know about this. Ah well. Maybe he is busy cooking pork shoulders. :p
