Hunter green would be the closest color. 100% polyester uniform. If you've seen one Florida Sheriff's Deputy.. You've seen us all.

ALmost an OD green. Supposedly one of only two police department's (not sheriff's offices) that wear them other than the WV state police. No pics of mine online that I could find, but here's a WV state police pic and ours are damn near identical, even down to the black epaulettes
The only good pic I could find of ours was on the officer down memorial page but posting that as a uniform example would be in bad taste

They've got us surrounded? Good. Now we can fire in any direction, those bastards wont get away this time
An amateur will train until they get it right. A professional will train until they can't get it wrong.
About like your special ops guys except we have a button down shirt.
But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
Translation for the intellectually challenged: If the government screws the people too much, it is the right and duty of the people to revolt and form a new government.
dark blue with a yellow stripe down the pant leg. unless its BDUs i wouldnt want to wear any other color.
So much for your brotherhood... - my wife

Old picture (not of me), but same uniform. Notice the old style cross draw holsters that we wore up to about 5 years ago.
Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"
My uniform...
I am on the left...
Eunice: A .22? Oh you've gotta be kidding me. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Detective Greenly: Yeah, or bringing a really small gun... to a gunfight.
Boondock Saint II
Ours are the basic dark blue with a light blue stripe down the leg. I don't think they've changed it since the late 40's. The county wears BDU's, which is kinda comical because their patrol division consist of maybe twenty or so people. Most are court or jail guards.
One bit of trivia that most cops in Portland don't know, as well as the city residents the changing of a tiny star on the badge. On our badge is the seal of the city which is a woman holding a torch that's supposed to be Portlandia. Above her is a tiny star. On my original badge, the star is a five pointed star. After Neil Goldschmidt was elected mayor, it was discretely changed to a six pointed Star of David.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine
My Little Buddy
Ours are dark blue all the way around, no stripes on the pants, we can wear either black or white t-shirts (with the short sleeve short) or turtlenecks (long sleeve shirt) with one of the bitchen oval shaped shields.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.-Samuel Adams
