My first ride along!!!!!

C'mon Creek, tell the WHOLE story - back then, you had to keep a jelly doughnut in your mouth and, bent over forwards, walk slowly through a double row of senior officers fanatically intent on tenderizing your backside with their thin blue line paddles - all without biting into the doughnut and spilling any jelly... Thank you Sir may I have another! :eek: :D

Each state must have their own version.

Here it is a plain glased and it was with leather saps.

The jelly must be for the Left coast.

On my first ride-along we got into a 2 county, 20 mile pursuit... which the Cop wasn't supposed to do with me in the car, but it was unavoidable and I didn't mind a bit.

It was a chase that tv scripts are written about.

After that, I had little choice. I was sworn into the Brotherhood and offered the cloak and doughnut right then.

Lol, I envy you. The most interesting thing I've had happen on my observational rides with the police was watching the officer arrest a drunk. He wasn't even a angry drunk. He was like "Meh, okay I'm drunk, take me in!." Oh well, it's not like every day as a police officer is an exciting car chase.

I remember asking to do a ride along with one of the NYPD'S tougher precincts, Well i got the 73rd in brooklyn.. All i can say is it was quite the experience.. lol

: 1 Domestic call, 1 stabbing call in a half-way house, a shots fired call and several other miscellaneous calls and traffic stops.. :cool:
