    Need everyones opinion!!!

okayyy i need everyones opinion on this!! ive been going out for a girl for about a month and ive never felt like i could "know the one" But shes just everything to me and when ppl ask me to explain it...its just something i cant put into words. Is a month not long enough to know that shes the one?? it may be..im just going with the ride and enjoying every moment. Well shes stated that she wants me to go visit her at work...shes 19 and im 23 and she works at a steakhouse. But i wanted to make it a surprise...soo i told her that i had to work on my day off (tuesday) and i planned on going in and surprising her. I was gonna bring a dozen peach roses too bc those are her fav. and shes all stressed out over finals.....need everyones opinion though! cute or no good??? PS-i loveee being romantic and think the random gifts mean the most!

There is never anything wrong with being romantic.

That said, you can't know she is the one yet. It takes a LOONg time for people's true personalities to surface. Be discerning, and enjoy dating this young lady.

What's the rush, why marriage and commitments occupy your mind at such a young age?
If I was you I would train and scout before I moved into uncharted territory.

But... it's your life, you can do what you want, and the only way to find out is to marry her.

    lax,

I agree with tx & highwayman. Don't rush things. Enjoy the moment now. You're young and have plenty of time to know if she is the "one".

Get to know her first - get to really know her and take your time with this relationship. If it's everything you say it is, there's no need to rush.

That being said, the flowers would be a nice surprise. What woman doesn't like flowers?

My wife doesn't, she says it's a waste of money because they die in a few days anyway.

That being said, maybe they would last longer if I stopped getting them from the cemetery.

THAT, is a very sweet thing to do. You will get points by going into work with flowers, it really seems like you are...smitten with this young lady, and that is sweet.

Have to second that, and not to piss on your parade, it takes a while to REALLY get to know someone. I have been with my husband for 14 years, I am learn more about him every-day. Keep in mind, relationships take time and WORK. Right now, it does not seem like work; but get back to us around the 7 month mark; which is usually when the first conflict arises...:p. She is only a couple of years older than my son, she is very young and has a lot of growing-up to do...(so do I, and I am 38..) But that is 'mom' like advice. :D ;)

LMAO...my hubby gets me fresh flowers every-week, I enjoy them more when I am alive than when I would when dead. He finds that the ones he gets from the cemetary last a long time...ofcourse depending on when the deceased was interned....

    LOL, you are not right!

I thought all women loved flowers. Me, personally - I'm not a roses type of girl or big on any other flowers except one: Daisies. A simple little flower that I find absolutely beautiful . And when I get them, which isn't too often, they make my day (actually, my boyfriend makes my day because he knows how much I love them). Purple, pink, yellow, white -you name it - they're just pure beauty to me.

    Marriage = Contract

Unless you are the religious type, I would not suggest any contract with any woman until at you have lived with her for at least 2 years.

If you do decide on marriage is the way for you, by god man, get a pre-nup.

There's some good advice out there. I can say that jumping in too soon is never a good thing.
And I'd like to agree with TX that it takes a really long time to get to know someone's true personality. Sometimes you never really get to know someone until a crisis arises, or temptation...

At any rate, I'd enjoy the times you have and if it's meant to be, you'll both know when the time is right.

You've got that right...marriage (or long term commitment) is certainly not a profilactic against attraction to others....been there, done that..and proud to say..I took the high road. :D

Lax, go with the roses... Its a sweet gesture, and she will appreciate it...

Take your time. Do not be in a rush!!!! She is very young, and so are you. I got into a relationship with my ex husband when I was 22, and I kick myself for doing that.... I do wish I had spent more time just having fun with life instead of trying to settle down and be what I was not...

If she is the one for you, she will be there in 5 years when both of you have had time to become yourselves... It is best to enjoy each other's company without trying to formalize it right away, plenty of time for that later. Go with the moment, give her the roses, and have a blast....

Gotta agree with most. The roses are a great idea, and at this stage will show her that she is special to you.

At your age, I would not rush into things too fast. As a rule it takes a while to really get to know someone.

Having said that, I knew that my wife was the one for me the night I met her. Mind you, it took me a while to convince her, and she was not the first girl I dated :p.

    Patience is the key.

to everyone thank you for the advice! perhaps i should explain myself! i NEVER even considered marriage at this point in my life right now....it would take atleast two years of dating for me to consider that. Just nice to find someone that makes me truly happy and we can be ourselves! i have NO IDEA if its gonna work out...all i know is at this time i want to be with her and the future will be what it will be. I care enough about this girl to let her go if i know that will make her happy so im not worried. But i will tell you how today goes im goin in at 8!
