So I'm getting fuel at our maintenance garage when I look over and see this:
It's quite obvious that the above derelict is heavily under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. I have to feel sorry for him, however. Once at the top of the children's entertainment food chain and now resorting to digging through dumpsters. Unfortunately, the law is the law and I have no choice but to arrest him for AI and Criminal Trespass.
Mr. Bird was very compliant, fortunately. He continued to keep his hands overt at all times.
A quick search incident to the arrest revealed no possessions at all.
So intoxicated he couldn't even maintain an erect sitting position in the car.
Finally managed to get him upright. I did have to violate policy on this one, though. I wasn't about to belt him in with that beak of his. I felt officer safety justified this breach.
It's always sad when a childhood celebrity goes bad!

The only thing funnier is when I had dispatch discretely roll me a med unit for my jaundiced celebrity 10-15 complaining of eye pain. The look on the medics faces when they got up to the car was absolutely priceless!
