    Gated/Private Communities

    Anybody here have private or gated communities in your area that have incorporated as municipalities and provide their own emergency services, like police or fire to their own exclusive population ie, a home owner's association?

    I guess it's more common in Florida. Just curious, I'm fairly new to this subject. I'd appreciate the replies!

    They have a few here in Michigan. Mainly, they provide their own security, and EMS. But not that many really.


    I know Dow Chemical has their own EMS, Fire, and Security force there. So is Dow Corning. But thats not a community, although its the size of a city pretty much

    Let me add, that they are the first responders. Lets say they have a disturbance, they take care of it, police and ems or fire don't bother coming in unless called for. Some only have the security side of it, some have just ems or fire.
