It is not Pa. it is the idiots in the City of Philadelphia trying to pass these laws. The state is the only one that can do it.

And the two nitwits, Nutter and Ramsey, still plan on trying to enforce these new laws:

That's if PPD even wants to enforce them. In most police manuals it says officers can disregard 'illegal and immoral orders.'

I wouldn't be surprised if some line officers take that stand.

Is this Mayor up for re-election this year?

Nothing but Grandstanding for the media, to show that he's seriously misguided about fighting crime... so serious that he is willing to waste Philly tax $ in unsuccesfully defending lawsuits.

Living nearish Philadelphia, this isnt too much of a surprise. Jersey isnt too much better.

Atleast the man is trying to pull down the crime rate, he just doesnt know how...the number of killings is rediculous.

Yeah, going after legal gun owners always reduces crime. (Sarcasm) These people aren't trying to reduce crime. No one could be that stupid. They're power hungry plain and simple.

Now, I could be wrong. But where do the illegal gun owners get their guns?

They most often steal them. If making a criminal out of a person who doesn't report a stolen firearm within 24 hours is your idea of cracking down on gun crime then you're misguided. Sometimes people leave their houses for more than 24 hours. If their gun is stolen during that time and they don't report it (because they don't know)would you have them prosecuted? Why don't we turn the laws against those that actually steal them. Yep, we already have those in place so why the new laws?

It's nothing but a bunch of grandstanding for political gain to satisfy a bunch or ignorant liberals.

Ask yourself this: Do you know anyone who would look for their gun only to find it stolen and NOT report it? I've had one stolen before myself and I couldn't get on the phone fast enough. One, to keep any crimes committed with it off my doorstep and two, to hopefully get my property back.
