A hard lesson in the works.

I got a guy a few weeks ago with a stolen tag on his parked car. I popped him for a traffic cite of misuse instead of the RSP. The fine was over $300 plus he had to pay $370 in impound fees. I had a thorough discussion about him not having insurance, no inspection and him being suspended. The tow guy said that 1990 car is in bad shape and will not pass inspection without a LOT of work.

Tonight I check at his work and he is back at it. The inspection stickers do not belong on the car. The vin tag is missing from the dash ( that is a criminal offense) , he is still suspended ( actually he NEVER had a license and got his first ticket at age 15). And he has 5 traffic warrants. The warrants are for unregistered , uninspected and no license.

This time I want to get him driving and I have one of my guys sitting nearby doing reports so we can catch him. The amount of cites he is looking at ( plus another impound) will truly mean a HARD lesson. Over a grand at least.

Good news is that you can serve a day for every $40 dollars you owe in fines.
