April the 6th seems to be a day for various anniversaries for me. I married my wife on this day 30 years ago, I became a sworn officer for the first time on this date 36 years ago and the "Newhall Incident" happened 38 years ago. For a young cop in California in '72 "Newhall" had a profound effect on the way were trained.

Read, learn and remember. This incident changed a lot of how police work was done then.
