I THINK it's around 400 grand around here (someone else from SoCal correct me if I'm wrong).

No details but 2 of my partners got it last night on a great (once in a lifetime) "obs" hook! When I stopped by, I "only" saw about a dozen bricks, "final" count was 20. A narco dog was supposed to go over the rest of the vehicle today but I was off so I don't know if any more was found.

I told them they should have taken more pictures, especially goofy shots! I mean, when is that going to happen again? And how do you top that? You gotta get like a tractor/trailer full of rocket propelled grenades or something... lol Man, I've only seen that much dope before in a Movie! :eek: :p

BTW, for all you wonderers, naysayers, doubting Thomases, and so-called pseudo-intellectual LE "experts" who are on Ignore (aka Question :rolleyes: ) - not only did my partners have PC, but they also got CONSENT TO SEARCH... :D

It goes for about twenty two to twenty four thousand where I am right now. If you bought 20 though, (our SOS for that much would be Houston, or Atlanta), you could get the price down into the mid to high teens.

So, say as low as $325,000 if you were a really good negotiator and as much as $480,000 if you weren't. Broken up in street amounts, (which really isn't a valid computation method in a bulk seizure) the value would be astronomical.

Twenty kilos gets you a lot of time under federal sentencing guidelines, and probably under most state laws, too. Make sure it gets reported to a federal agency (DEA or ICE) if none came out on it, as it will probably be tied to an organization sooner or later, if you do, through their extensive database sharing.

AFAIK, no news. We like to keep things hush-hush around here. Local media, especially the LA Times isn't all that cop friendly... They'd probably publish/broadcast that we actually found 80 kilos but only turned in 20... :rolleyes:

Also AFAIK, it looks like it was an overland route, no water involved. 20 kilos might not even register on the radar of some agencies but it's a pretty big deal for a couple of street cops to snatch up on a consentual encounter with absolutely no intel* (sworn LEOs will know what I'm talking about)... ;)

I was duty agent when 12000 kilos came in from the Coast Guard one day through the Tampa office in Operation [you know what]. It sucked. :D
