Some jails are adding a fee for booking, sort of a "service charge".
I wonder if this could be upped if the arrestee is a jerk, fighter, or a spitter. ???
Dont let the airlines learn of this, they will start charging 'cause getting on a airliner is as close to an actual jail booking most of us want to see. Take off your shoes and belt, pat down or body search, search of possessions, cramped accomodations, crappy food, higher percentage of rude employees.....
