In the NYPD a few times. Especially when I was working a house as a rookie on the UES where the missions and most embassies are.

I was guarding the Iraq Mission (whihc is directly across from the mayors house) for weeks on a fixer on day tour with 4 others, just before the whole war broke out. Thats what got me my first newspaper picture.

Several encounters over the years, mostly traffic infractions. Had one guy try and pass himself off as having imunity, he was a driver. Backed up a sector with an intox collar, with no ID, but diplo plates. He went to the station house in cuffs, got verified and his ppl came to pick him up. If you are active in Midtown Manhattan, it is not an unusual occurance.

I had a temporary assignment with the NYPD Intelligence--Diplomatic Protection Unit...I encountered many people with diplomatic immunity :D

Never when I was on the street in the Bronx though...I wonder why

    You arrested Nixon?

With you arresting a state rep and acreature arresting Spitzer's *****, we have some famous cops here.
