I work for a 3 man department in a small town in AR. We are wanting to add another man and i was wondering if anyone had an ideal for a schedule.

Are you a LEO? If so you should take a little more pride in your appearance in typing because your grammar/spelling sucks.

I don't do the schedule so I can't answer that.

Are you guys 24-7? and will all officers be full time?

If so, I used a schedule of 3 12-hour shifts and 1 6-hour shifts per officer when I was a security supervisor. Each officer got 42 hours a week and we covered the plant 24-7. Each officer also got one weekend day off and 2 weekdays as we split Wednesday down the middle.

For example, my alternate pulled 0600-1800 Sunday through Tuesday and 0600-1200 on Wenesday. I pulled 1200-1800 on Wednesday and 0600-1800 Thursday through Saturday. Night shift was divided up the same way. Hope that helps.
