The most disapointing thing happened this weekend. I came up one push up short during the PT. :( All of the tests were pass/fail, and offically after that I was out of the process, but I asked if I could stay and finish the testing, and they did not mind. I was able to pass all of the rest of the tests with room to spare. The real sad part is that there were only 20 people left in the process, and there are 4 openings. So on I go . . .

Live and learn, just keep working at it and try to do double than anyone else next time. Hang in there.

I'm a really weak runner. On the last PT test I had, I did the minimum push-ups and situps so I sould throw everything I had into the run.

I barely passed. You just need to work at it, drink some water, and move on. You'll have plenty more chances to get where you're going.

This country's always going to need cops. :cool: :D

Thank you all for your support and encouragement, and I have Great News! The second department is a Charm I was able to do that one push up and one more than needed today with the Avon PD. So at least I have passed the physical with one department. I have my Oral with them on the 30th. Then it is wait for a while. They are only hiring 1 position this time, but they are putting together a list for 2 years, and they are in a growing area!

Good luck, that's a good PD. A dispatcher I used to work with got picked up by them last year. He really enjoys the job.

Now you know where to focus from here on out, just don't become lax in other areas.
