LEO buys phone from guy online.

Guy does not send phone,

LEO gets info and contacts LEOs in the scammers area.
LEOs investigate.
Scammer gets onto the website and talks **** and gets banned.

More than likely he is going to be arrested. It is still ongoing.

I think it's more of a group effort on the part of the forum members, many of whom are not LEOs, looking out for each other...

I just read all 9 pages.
Basically it looks like a guy in NJ was/is running a cell phone scam operation and scammed a Kentucky cop, who asked for help on the forum.

It seems like a lot of NJ cops and some feds are also on the forum. They've taken pictures of his house, called the police, found out he has a warrant, are calling, texting, and messaging him on MySpace.

It appears as if this guy scammed the wrong cop, and a bunch of cops in NJ are making his life pretty bad and want to see him locked up.

It appears they invited him onto the site to explain himself, it looks like they invited him via MySpace.

I think many of the guys on that forum or on the job in NJ and have just used their own contacts. I've heard talk of the Morris County Prosecutor and the FBI out of the Newark field office.

Samuel, I thought most of the group members are in le, as is the original poster who said he's le in Kentucky.

I just read the first page and it looks like Samuel is right. It appears to be leo's and those with contacts. My bad, sorry guys.

It appears as though the case is sooooo popular that it actually crashed the website...it's been down about an hour now.

Its up to about 30,000 views and 17 pages. The owner/admin was taking this to the media this morning. It was also discovered that the Deputy Chief of the PD that has jurisdiction lives a couple of houses down from this kid, and a few members (LEO's) were contacting him to bring this kid to their attention.

The punk is texting the person who got scammed begging him to call off his friends...they are harassing him like crazy. :D
