    Another Ride-A-Long

I went on my second ride-a-long with the Burleson PD on Saturday. There were the usual traffic stops and one domestic that took about an hour to get through with. The mothers 30 year old son with anger problems smacked the 13 year old daughter after the the daughter wouldn't shut the hell up and was saying some horrible things to her mother. This was after the fight between the 13 year old and her 15 year old sibling. That was the original call, cause they were in the yard. Her getting hit happened later. After the officers got there, the 13 year old continued telling the officers how things were going to be and where they could stick it. Sounds to me like she deserved to get smacked but that's against the law.

Towards the end of the shift a call went out about a left from Payless shoes. An employee and customer blocked the suspects vehicle in after she drove over to the Dollar General (only like 3 stores down) and went in. The woman then came back out and said she was leaving, and proceeded to ram the other two cars. All she was going to get was a citation for the shoplifting, but after that she got to spend some time in lockup. Did I mention the shoes only cost $26.00? The sad thing is, her 14 year old and 2 year old were in the department store right next door and had to watch the whole thing. The officer and I drove out to get her grandmother (who has custody anyway), so she could get the girls.

Anyway, it was a pretty cool day.:D

So for her $26 shoes she rammed two cars? Did she do any damage?

As long as the momma doesn't hurt the kid, the 13 yr old getting smacked would be legal here. I love it when the teeny boppers call 911 to report child abuse. They smart mouth off to mom/dad and get whacked. (Not abused or punched) I tell them they got what they deserved and leave.

She did cause some minor damage to both vehicles but they had her blocked in so close that she really couldn't get anything going.

Burleson is just south of Fort Worth. It has about 26,000 people.

On a side note, my boss and I went to lunch at a chinese resturant their Monday and his Suburban was broken into. They got a keyboard that belonged to his church out of the back. Luckily it was broken and that's why we had it. The officer who took the report said a similar vehicle was hit the day before and they got the same type of instrument. Funny thing was, they didn't take the pedal, $100.00 stand or the air compressor out.
    Losers:mad:

ride alongs are spiffy.. last one I went on... about 1.5 months ago... A guy threw a Tech9 out the window of a 70 Caddy. Talk about hooptie. >< It was awesome.. busiest ride along I've been on. The officer I rode with was a ledgend. =) Bunch of college kids called me "Charle's Angel" and we drove in code about 4 times... Most awesome night ever! <3
