Taxes (W-2's)

Ok, so I have worked at 3 different place of work this tax season and I have recieved a W-2 from every one of them except one!!!!!

I am wondering what is the date that he has to have my w-2's to me, I have the other two and I just want the damn things done!!!!

Any help with this would be greatly appreicated!:rolleyes:

If you do not receive your Form W-2, Form 1099-R, Form 1099-INT, or Form 1099-MISC by January 31st , or your information is incorrect, contact your employer/payer.

You must provide your name, address (including zip code), phone number, Social Security Number, dates of employment, your employer/payer's name, address (including zip code), and phone number. Holy ****, I think I might just call my employer, hopefully he has already sent them in the mail.

So I called my former employer, HE HASN'T returned my call its been about a WEEK!!!!

So the question is now, can I file using my last paystub, I didn't make that much from this employer about $740. I know that I need to clam all the income I made, but how do I do that if I don't have the W-2 from that employer? I am just getting tired of waiting for this person to give me what he legally had to have in the mail by the 31st of JANUARY!!!

I know I was just kind of venting!!!!!! This guy was a good employer, but he is very bullheaded, so I think I pissed him off when I called him saying "where are my W-2's"!!!

I guess he still has till the 15th to get them to me before he is breaking the law!!!

I HAVE to use an accountant.

I get a W2 and a 10-99.

It is a PITA.

See I only made about $4500 this year for cash, because I took the summer off. So I am only going to get back like $85, if that!!!!!!!!!

So going to an accountant would be usless because I have to pay them $25 to do it then!!!!

You can go to taxact.com, if you like... That is supposed to be a free site for filing, at least for the federal taxes. Not sure if they charge for the state filing, but I suspect they do. Since you are under the required filing earnings amount (think its around $10,500 but been awhile since I worked on income taxes), the only reason you would file is to get the taxes withheld returned to you.

Does anyone know what the earning requirerments are for this season....because if I do not have to file then I am not going to, because I won't get enough back to make it worth my while. So does anyone know???

Maybe you didn't earn enough with the guy who hasn't sent you a W-2 for him to send it to you.

As for your last question, you could probably locate it at the IRS website.

Well from what I can read I do not have to file federal taxes, but I do for state because my mom can claim me as a dependent, and I made over $850!!
