Can you say liability? Probably why you won't see to many police departments use these.

That would be effective for long range crowd/riot control, load it up with some rubber buckshots and fire away, but if you fire it at a single human target at close range there won't be much left of him even for an autopsy.

Why stop there then? What about the 203 with HE rounds or how about some 105 Arty. Think about it and it'll become clear why this isn't the weapon of choice for most policing situations. Mind you I'm just a lowly citizen but I have been in the military and I can tell you that in when we trained in urban combat fire discipline wasn't as critical as a police scenario I'll bet. I will say this. The engineer makes some pretty big claims. Most powerful weapon in the world? You couldn't face it at 200 yards and survive it? I didn't see it fired at 200 yards in the vid. I'll be that the shot pattern wouldn't be anything to write home about at 200 yards. It's the only large bore in the world designed to eliminate recoil? Has he even seen a Barrett .50s design? Come on. It's a badass shotgun but I believe someone is believing a little too much hype.
