Homework help!!

I have an assignment for a class that I need a little help with. We have to come up with a creative way to present our topic to the class. We cannot lecture or leave the class room and it has to be 20 minutes long.

My topic: Basic Patrol Equipment

Weapon
Baton
OC
Radio
Taser
Handcuffs

Those are the items I have to demonstrate. I have the idea to use squart guns for the firearm and put a piece of tape on the nozzle to show why you need to keep your weapon clean. Baton I was going to use Liqurish and have people smack each other with them. OC I was going to use Silly String.

I am stuck on Radio, Taser, and Handcuffs however. Any help would be great.

Radio= You don't know anyone with any Family Radios around? I sold 2 pair at yard sale brand new for $5 each.

Tazer= You got me there... bare wires from a 6 volt battery won't really do anything without some help, but I'm not that electrically savvy to tell you how... unless you can get someone to stick their tongue on a 9 volt... :D

Handcuff's= take 2 wire ties and interlink them. Hell, take a dozen, they are like $2 per 100 in the Walmart electric chord section... it doesn't really matter the size, it is the principle. Use a small flat edge as a key to pick the wire tie.

Now, let me know the grade I got... ;)

Taser- Get a think plastic toy gun and paint the tip yellow.....

Oh how I miss school!

It would be fun to go above whats expected- learn your state's use of force levels and have one person demonstrate the threat and the other person use the appropriate level of force justified (utilizing one of your tools-weapons)....just a thought. Hey I am a dork I loved school!

... most college professors who teach criminal justice have no idea what they are talking about, let alone any real experience they would be impressed to see you demonstrate your state's levels of force. (just my 2 cents).

Do me a favor and ask any two of them from different agencies if the use of force continuum isn't a standardised ladder.

I suspect that either you don't know what we are talking about, or were sleeping in class that day... ;)

Sorry Use of Force is standardised, but agencies policies regarding certain "tools" very. That is what I ment not that Use of Force ladder is not standardised

Just go to Taser's website and buy the x26c... and use it on someone in class, I'll guarantee you an A (and maybe a lawsuit), but its worth it.;)
