I am trying not to become bitter but enough is enough already now PERB is going until 3/12
get moving already. My school taxes have gone up 50% in the last three years I need money. I love my job not many people can say that. And I want to stay. BUT COME ON. Sorry but had to let that out.

NYPD PO last contract was settled in binding arbitration in may of 2006 covering the period of 8/1/02 - 7/31/04. We started binding arbatration again in PERB last year, and the last testimony sessions ended last week. Closing statements due sometime in february, and rebuttal statements sometime in early march, then the board will make their decision. The City then has 60 days to adjust salaries, and 90 days to get us our retro money.

I know i was just getting my hopes up for a ruling a little earlier. Didn't mean to "rant" Just getting a little anxious. My wife and I are having a baby soon and to have an idea would help ease my worries. Hey at least we are getting our W2s next pay period . I hope

lax was that supposed to be funny? Sorry I am concerned about my future. I think it is laughable that I see guys with 15 years on still living home with mommy and daddy. it is ok to hope that we get a good contract. it has become the norm to be without a contract. It shouldn't be this way.

People who are living with mom and dad with 15 years on either choose to because they want to/hardship within the family or are complete idiots when it comes to managing money.

yeahhh man. unfortunetly, thats what this job is all about. Hopes to get paid for the job we do out there. You cant put a price on what we do but hey 150k a year sounds good :D For now, manage your money, and count on no raise at all. When the little raises do come, its extra money you werent counting on and makes things easier
