Friends

I had a friends who was looking for a job while in college, and the pizza place were I work was hiring. So I put in a good word for him and sure enough he got hired. Well we got busy last night and I wasn't there (I am a driver) and I guess the owner got on him for not being fast enough. So today my friend walks in 15mins before he works and says I quite. HE HAS ONLY WORKED HERE FOR 1 WEEK.

He wants to be a police officer and I told him this would go and bite him in the a$$. He doesn't seem to think so because he will just not put it on his employment history :rolleyes:. I try to tell him this stuff but he doesn't seem to want to listen.

Tonight really pissed me off because its like him making me look bad, and I appologized to my boss and he said he wouldn't hold it against me because I have always worked late when he needed.

Any suggestions on how to handle this friend, should I just end the friendship now because he doesn't seem to care about how he makes me look. Just wondering what you guys think.

Honestly, sure it might hurt but he is young.

Working in the local pizza shop isn't for everybody. When I was younger, there were a couple jobs I said eff it too after a week that I knew were not for me and I knew I wouldn't be happy.

Its not always the lazy factor, it could be just he didn't want to do that kind of stuff. The older you get, the wiser you get.


Not worth something like that to lose a friend over.


He has plenty of time before starting the process to find a good job and such yah know

And like I said before, there is plenty of time for him to grow up. Everybody does stupid stuff. Only time will wisen someone up

Hockey, I know it is lazyness that is the factor because he even told me that he wants to find a job were he gets paid well for doing next to nothing :rolleyes:. I thought that was kinda funny. He wants to be a police officer and doesn't want to work hard.....:confused:.
