Well, last Saturday SUCKED

We had a little mini blizzard blow thru late evening on Saturday.

At one point I was out looking for an overdue motorist.

I was only going 35 on a 65 mph highway.

Visibility was about a city block due to WIND and blowing snow.

Wind was a sustained 30 with gusts over 50 mph

We got about 4 inches of very wet stuff.

Every little town in the county had some form of power outage.

The longest was 5 hours for one town. The electric company

had to come from 45 miles away.



In the middle of this mess, 911 dispatch went DOWN.

No phones, no computers, ZIP. Had us out of business

for about 15 minutes.

Sometimes I really hate computers................................

At least you didn't smash your patrol car into a light pole out in BFE and injur yourself, then have to wait until a motorist just happened to be going that way to find your mangled body in desperate need of medical attention.


See, your weekend could have been a lot worse.
