House Explosion Caught On Police Car Dash Cam

Officer Ben Henrich of the Prescott Police Department tried to rescue the driver of a pickup truck after she crashed into a house.
The truck struck a natural gas line and three minutes later the house exploded killing the driver and injuring the officer.
Officer Henrich was three feet away from the house when it exploded and was pulled to safety by a fellow policeman.
Henrich suffered burns, cuts, and whiplash.
Authorities are investigating to determine why the pickup truck crashed into the house.

Colorado State Patrol
2-12-07 written exam taken
5-23 Received call "passed exam" , and sched for ploygraph. Passed
6-16-07 background investigation complete .(only took 2weeks.) Passed
6-13-07 polygraph taken
6-16-07 received "passed" call for polygraph
9-10-07 received call that I have been appointed to the academy and scheduled for pt and psychological test.
11-2-7 received pass and "final offer"!
1-8-08 start!

That hits close to home. We just worked a car vs house with gas line rupture. Luckily it didn't explode. Was leaking for around 3 hours until they could shut it off.

dude was just walking by the car then BOOM, flying debris. That would have been really interesting to actually see the house. Being 3 feet away that officer got lucky but I am glad to hear that he is ok
