Last night, a guy on my shift responds to a 911 call. He arrives and checks warrants on a guy at the residence. As luck would have it, the guy has failed to appear on numerous traffic offenses. When the officer informs the guy that he's under arrest, the guy bolts. Officer chases the guy and calls for me and my dog. After a brief foot pursuit, and a ruined uniform, the officer gets the guy. I arrive and transport the guy, just to get him out of the area quickly.
When we arrive at the jail, and the charging officer arrives, the guy places a call to his girlfriend. He starts crying and tells her that he is going to lose his job. With no job, he won't be able to save up to pay for a circumcision for their newborn son, like he had planned.
I've seen the cops blamed for a lot of things, but never for a not-gonna-happen circumcision! :rolleyes:

I thought you stopped someone from mutilating a young girl.

I think it still is the norm in the US, but the rates are decreasing a lot. I still think its funny people think its abnormal not to be circumcised.
