i dont remember if i posted anything about this, but with the next suffolk county test being june 9, 2007, i will not be 19 until july 6, 2007. Could i still take the test if i miss the minimum age requirement by less than a month???

i cant stand school....i am stressed as **** and its only been a week and a half at a CC!!! I just want to get out and start my career, and suffolk county only requires a high school diploma...

If you're not a resident with a hook, you're gonna find the road much steeper than that.

I'm just some random schmuck on the internet, but trust me on this: stay in school and get your degree. In anything. You won't regret it. Law enforcement as a career will still be there when you get out.

    Good luck.

Your going to find it VERY hard to find a LE agency to hire you before you hit 22, so you might as well put the next few years to good use and at least get an associates degree.

Nothing personal but MOST 18 or 19 year olds are way too immature to handle the duties of a LEO. You will also be competing against older , more mature, college degreed and military veterans that have a LOT more to offer than you do.

Get a 4 yr degree , go in the military , do some growing up and you have the ability to become a good candidate.
