As the song goes, "Baby, its cold outside"

Yes it is, a lovely 14 degrees with a wonderful north breeze to help it along.
There I am, out trolling around on 100% snow and ice packed county roads.

About 10 tonight, a certain un named state agency called up and wanted to go visiting.

They will be at the location in about an hour.

So Kels gets to go out to the end of the county. As I drive by, guess what is sitting in the front yard so to speak? Some un named property that was removed without the owner permission.

3.5 hours later, 35K in stolen property is sitting in impound.
Maybe not a big deal for you, but a nice find for all of us.

Wanna guess who gets to write the report and do some other paperwork?

But, its alright, I was bored anyway.:D
And I didnt have to really work, just stand around and be friendly.
On a clear night, I can see the other deputies emergency lights at least 10 miles away.
But it isnt flat here LOL

If it makes you feel better, here in NC, we're experiencing a very mild Winter. It's going to be 70 degrees today and tomorrow! As a matter of fact, at 0800 this morning, I ate a lovely breakfast outside on my patio. Good luck with the ice, though!

It was 72 here yesterday. That's freaky for January, even down here.

We've yet to have anything that resembles a Winter here other than dead grass and no leaves on trees.

It won't last though, we're supposed to get hammered bad soon.

I just woke up and it is sleeting outside.
We have been lucky so far,
The two big storms that went thru Kansas have
went east and west of us.
We have been on the edge of both.
We were supposed to get snow last night,
    and it didnt happen, DARN:rolleyes:

We usually have to deal with snow drifts up to the top of 2 story houses and buildings, but this year we probably have an inch of snow and it's only been cold for the last few days. I've been able to get out into the woods playing paintball without my CO2 freezing up and leaking into my gun. I'd rather warm winters.

It's just over/under 40 degrees here, and it's been raining a lot. We're supposed to get snow tomorrow, no school tomorrow, but I still don't want the snow.

I'll take it! :D We never get snow.

It hasn't snowed much the past 20 years or so if you don't count the blizzard of '93. That was SO much fun. I'll always remember what I was doing that day. I was in the barn almost up to my elbows pulling a calf. We named her Blizzard. My husband was at work and I was home alone when the cow decided it was time. Wouldn't you know she would have problems. Oh well, I'm a country girl and that's what we do.

I'm ready for another blizzard (snow, not calf).

Well when you get blizzards almost weekly in the winter months (not just a blizzard, a blizzard), I'm sure you'd change your mind. It's just a hassle and is just something to make you late for work.

The blizzards we get up here will bury you in in your house within an hour or so, and if you're outside you'd be lucky to see a couple feet in front of you.

I'm quite happy to be having a mild winter.

Our blizzard was two feet. That's phenomenal since the most I've ever seen here, and I've lived here all my life, was six or eight inches. It was not much fun for most people because the power was out for three days but we have a wood stove and I can cook on it so we were fine. I can even bake biscuits in a dutch oven. LOL A lot of farmers around here don't have barns for their livestock and some cows and horses died. One lady fell in a snowdrift in a ditch and died. I don't want anybody or any animals hurt but I would like some snow. :p

Two feet? When we get two feet of snow we're still going around in convertibles with t-shirts on! :D

    Just kidding.

:D We get out of work if there is snow and the kids get out of school as soon as it starts snowing. Nobody here can drive in it and we are dangerous. Everything gets shut down to keep us off the roads. :D Tennessee snow is awful because it's wet and sticks to your tires like glue.
