    Any good LE magazines?

I was thinking about maybe getting some law enforcement magazines. I don't want catalogs, or reviews on police equipment, but simply a magazine geared towards everything about law enforcement.

I heard of one in a thread on here a while ago (that was un-named), which was free. Does anyone have any websites of a GOOD LE magazine? Like the 'PEOPLE' or 'WIRED' of law enforcement, basically, is what I am looking for.

    Thanks.

    EDIT:

As I've been looking, it appears that most magazines are exclusive to LEO's. So, to add on, any GOOD LE MAGAZINES that a civilian can get?

I subscribe to American Police Beat. I'm by no means endorsing APB, it just works for me.

On the subscription form on 'APB' and various other magazines, it has a field for Department and Rank. That would suggest that those magazines are only available to police officers, right?

No. Most law enforcement magazines I've seen/subscribed to do NOT verifiy employment. That said, I subscribe to The Police Marksman, Police Magazine, Tactical Response, Police K9, and Law and Order. I, too, used to pay for American Police Beat, but found it to be not what I needed.

I subscribe to American COP, put out by American Handgunner. Pretty good magazine and I know they sell subscriptions to civilians. You have to go to the website to order or find someone who has a magazine and grab the subscription card, they don't sell on newsstands

After receiving all the cop magazines and papers over the years, one distinctly stands above the rest. American Police Beat is by far the most informative and educational of all the police periodicals.

But they all have required forms identifying one as a police officer, bleh. It's late, but it seems like most of these do require you to be a cop. Do I just put random crap in those forms?

I have been subscribing to Law Officer for about a year now. It is a great publication full of a lot of good information and equipment reviews. Best part is, it's free. They do verify your status.

I'm Addicted to placebo's..... I'd quit, but it wouldnt make any difference.

I have a subscription to "Police" (www.policemag.com). Its informative and has many articles about or by Lt. Col. Grossman. Always good stuff.
