I am planning on moving to Texas in the near future. I'm looking around the Temple / Belton area. What are the crime statistics in those areas, and what are good police departments to work for? I've already done a little research in to Austin PD, but I can't find crime statistics for them.
Hints? Web-sites to check out?

this is for killeen, near belton. Bell county has a pretty high crime rate. the military base is a HUGE part of Bell County. If i were you, i would live a lil south in Williamson County. Much nicer and known for their conservative attitude.
