Hello All,
I just registered today and love the boards! I have been accepted for the 07' NYPD Police Academy Class. I just moved to Congers in Rockland County from NJ and desperately need advice from the pros on the best transit option to the Academy on 20th st. in Manhattan. Would you drive in and pay for parking everyday? Would you stop at a park and ride and take mass transit? What is the best route I can take for this? Please be specific about locations etc... Thanks In advance!

How do you know you've already been accepted? Everyone else in the world especially on these forums needs to wait till they get the phone call 2 or 3 days before the class starts? Not trying to bust your balls but dont see how its possible.

I live in Rockland also. To take mass-transit you would have to go to Tarrytown in Westchester and take Metro-North. It is very expensive to park in Tarrytown. You would also have to wake up VERY early to take mass-transit.

ALso people had previously mentioned parking down at 14th street and walking up to 20th street. search....
