I know I'm new here, but I'm going to go ahead and ask a favor.
To anybody willing to give up a prayer or two...a partner of mine that was shot during a traffic stop a couple weeks ago, just had surgery this past Thursday. Any prayers would be appreciated so he'll heal in no time and be able to return to duty.
What agency do you work for?
You should get verified.

GRAND RAPIDS. MI (AP) -- A Kentwood police officer was marking his 33rd birthday by working an unscheduled overtime shift when he fatally shot a mentally ill man who shot and wounded him first. Police say the motorist was shot in the head and died early in the evening on Friday, November 24th.
The car chase began in Kentwood and ended in a parking lot of a church on Grand Rapids' east side. The shooting occurred after the officer, James Morningstar, pulled the suspect, Darrell Norwood, over on suspicion of drunken driving when the officier approached the car the driver opened fire on the officer. Grand Rapids police chief Harry Dolan said the officer fired several shots and after being wounded managed to return to his car and called in about being shot.
Norwood died several hours later at a local hospital and the officer was treated and released from a local hospital after taking a bullet in his left shoulder. Relatives of Norwood describe him as a schizophrenic who lived in a group home and had been in and out of prison. The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
I heard about that one. That is not too far from where I grew up.
Welcome to RP:D
