Within the next 6 months I will me moving my family to the Orlando area to be closer to family. I'm trying to get an idea of the nicer areas and the not so nice areas.
Where should I look to buy a house?
--I've heard Seminole County is nice (Oviedo, Winter Springs).
--What about E. Orange Co.?
--Are there any other areas I should look at, on a LEO's salary?
Any info on these areas would be greatly appreciated.

My family visits Lakeland in Polk County a few times a year for the past 13 years and from what I can tell it is pretty nice and affordable. I called my wife's grandmother and she thinks you would be happier in Lakeland on LEO salary.
But Officer, I didn't think pretty ladies recieved citations!!!! They don't lady, please sign here and press hard, it's four copies

East Orlando seems to be the area that everyone is flocking to. Especially the Avalon Lakes, Stoneybrook East, Waterford Chase Subdivision. You can look at spending about 290-310K for a 4/2 home that was built in 2001 and up. They are gated communities and looks very clean. The monthly homeowner association runs about $290 quarterly.
