I wonder what it is about this time of year that motivates people to become more anti-social, violent, and criminal than other times of the year. In the past week we've had at least 5 robberies, countless domestics, etc... What is it about the Christmas season that makes people so damn stupid? *sigh* just had to vent for a minute... Back to work. :p

I would say it's because of the "Birth of Jesus Myth" deep down ticks people off. First off Jesus wasn't born in December, no one knows for absolute certainty but according to biblical scholar and the like he was born, in all probability, in March. In fact Christmas wasn't even celebrated in December until after 340AD, I think it was mid January prior to that. The trek of Joseph and Mary was actually their yearly pilgrimage to pay their annual taxes. December 25th chosen as the day to celebrate Christ’s birthday so that the Christians could cover up the celebrations already being done by the various other Pagan religions (Winter Solstice is December 25th, depending on the religion, which is the big Pagan celebration of the renewal of the seasons and the end of the long nights of winter.) This change of days of celebration was a way to cover up the Winter Solstice celebrations so as to take away the focus of these celebrations and make it look like everyone was celebrating Christ’s birthday. It wasn't so bad for the Pagans either as they could celebrate their holidays without being persecuted by the Romans.


Or maybe people could just get pisssy because of the stress of holiday shopping! :D

Money is it

THe domestics are usually people arguing about money problems because everyone wants to have a good Christmas for their kids, but not everyone can afford it.

The robbery spike is because all those shoppers out and about have lots of it in anticipation of their day at the mall

You know your right on the button about Christmas, What happened to the good ol days....I miss them, it was simple then, and now it seems we just run and run to keep ahead of the game. Money is a big factor in it, People have lost what It is about, peaceful times, helping others, no its seems its just me me me. lol i re read this and thought gee you sound like your mother...lol im only 35.hmmmmmmmmm she was right, yet again ....lol
