I dont have a problem with Feds per say....i do think they make too much damn money as journeyman 13's counting AUO. I also think that their cash awards are total b.s., it's part of your job.

Oh wait, maybe i should say local and state leos make too little money, that's sounds better :D

As a local investigator, I worked cases with the FBI, Secret Service, INS (before they were ICE), SSA OIG, DEA, and USPIS.

All were criminal cases of some sort, ranging from fraud, homicide, public corruption, and protection detail.

All of the agencies except one, I have had really good partnerships. I have posted before about my disdain with the FBI. I use to blame the individual agents who did some real stupid moves behind my back, but when I saw that they were following orders under their leadership, I began to see that it was the agency that bore the brunt of the criticism.

I will say that my last few dealings with the Feebs have been positive, but I always keep one eye open when dealing with them. I still have a bitter taste in my throat on the past experiences.
Eunice: A .22? Oh you've gotta be kidding me. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Detective Greenly: Yeah, or bringing a really small gun... to a gunfight.

DEA seemed to be a great group of guys, very appreciative to have support from us locals. They did however get lost on the way to the house we were supposed to serve a search warrant on. They also didn't seem very organized as most of us spent the day sleeping/playing football at the fairgrounds waiting for them to hit more houses.

Secret Service were extremely professional and on top of their game. They made sure the hotel the President was speaking at fed all of us and they were more than happy to bs with us like normal people.

Those guys really did get into it, though.

And, I not once voiced my displeasure at all the boot prints around the vehicle. Kept that to myself. :p
As far as the boot prints, They should have known better.

But, I'm sure they had a good time with the OJT. That's one of my biggest complains with USBP is the lack of training after you leave the academy.
