Not to rain on anyone's parade, but you shouldn't count your chickens before they hatch.

In my academy, on the last Tuesday with graduation that Friday, they terminated a guy. We were doing high performance driving at the driving range. The Capt arrived, had the guy called over, and he drove away with the Capt.

We were then informed that he had been cut loose, and it was not too late for the rest of us to go too. :eek:

We had a guy who was kicked out right before graduation because he missed a question on the final test. To be fair it was his third attempt on a topic you had to pass. He was receycled into the next academy. A full 12 months over getting a question wrong.

I'm not too worried, we already had all our finals and everything so its pretty much in the bag. (Oh and by the way, I hate to say it, but you have to be a pretty big screw up to fail this academy) We have a week of supervised field training while still in the academy. I have 2 days left, so unless I like shoot somebody or run away from a fight I think I'll be good to go.

I had 3 arrests today, so I think I'll be okay. Its entirely because my FTO has a great eye for warrants, but he had me do all the paperwork, so my name's on all of them :D. It was pretty awesome, one of the guys would have definately run if we hadn't grabbed him good.

In fact, it was sort of my first little test on the street, the guy was known for running so when I grabbed his hand he started to turn it to to see what I'd do. I guess I passed because the next thing he said was, "Yo why you grabbin me so hard, you tryin' to break my hand!?"

It was a good adreniline day and it made up for the fact that NOTHING happened yesterday.

Thanks again for the good words. Roger Dat, how are things going, you here from TPPD yet? I'll tell you the truth, if they can't get you into the next Rockland Academy, you'd probably be better off going somewhere else, the place has pretty much gone down the drain. The guys we have going to Dutchess have it much harder than we did.

Just waiting on my psych and medical figgy which hopefully will happen this week so I can go before the board next week. Town has a guy in the S.O academy as well. Glad to hear your keeping the mean city streets safe and way to go on the arrests! If I have achance I may swing down for the graduation. My friend from CPPD usually sings the national anthem.
