    Absolutely.

People promoting animal welfare would like to see animals treated humanely. I for example have worked to educate the public about taking proper care of their pets, but I still *own* my dogs and enjoy a good steak.
I fully and completely agree. Animals killed for meat are killed painlessly and for a reason, unlike Daisy Duke in this story.

I guess I could've worded my original post a little better, you must understand I was very angry when I first read about it. On another forum, someone was standing up for the little pukes who did it, saying they "might have had" other reasons for doing it, which made me only more incensed.

Regardless, a child or a puppy, taking a life this way (or in a microwave for that matter) is just plain sad and wrong. I guess I relate to this story more than some on RP, since I've never had a child, or had to take care of one. Not that I think they should be treated badly either of course, I just don't have that connection to one, personally. Dogs and puppies I AM familiar with though, growing up in a rural community and on a farm. I guess this just really touched a nerve in myself, as well as the protestors. I just hope, like the rest of you, these little pukes get all that's coming to 'em and more.
