First off, I'm fine and no one else got hurt, but here's the story:
The LT. of the next town over attempts to pull over a vehicle for speeding, as soon as the car stops the passenger hauls ***. The officer sees the pistol and yells at him to stop. the idiot runs into the woods and hides. So Lt. calls for back up, all three of our officers come and a deputy arrives. We begin to scan the tree line, one of the officers sees a shadow (full moon luckily) about 50-60 yards away. All of a sudden we see the gun flash. Then I popped off a few rounds with my AR (See firearms section). then it goes quite, everyone is ok. we let dispatch know we've been shot at. We stop sweeping and set up a perimeter as we wait for the tracking dogs to come and then we get a 911 call from house down the road saying the guy just got picked up by a green car. We looked for it about 5 hours last night but no luck. Damn crazy night.

Update
Just wanted to give you all the update, a couple hours ago, we spotted the car with the suspect. attempted a stop but the car tried to get away, after a love tap by the LT, the driver stopped and gave up the guy we wanted. we made sure we were gentle:rolleyes: with him. But to be honest with all the seasoned officers here, I have a question. When it happened I was more mad then scared. Is that normal? Now I think, damn something could of happened but then I didn't think twice. Thought to myself that MF shot at me and returned fire.
