Our command staff consist of our chief (whois so relaxed he doesn't care what you do unless you violate the SOP), Assistant Chief/ LT. (Former state trooper whos backs us 100%), then my sergeant is more trigger happy then any of us.

I know for us, any shooting in the line of duty results in the usual 3 day admin leave to cool off, and an AI investigation to clear us. Other than a written statement, we don't do any paperwork on it. We get time off, and when we get back we go to our normal job again.
