Things have been rolling the last few weeks, which is also why I haven't had time to post updates. But I'm still here! :D
We had our traffic direction and control practicals this past week. We started with a smaller intersection in the morning, and after lunch they put us in one of the worst intersections in town, turned off the lights, and put us to work. I was nervous at first, but ended up having a ball. I must've been grinning from ear to ear, because my instructor told me I looked like I was having fun.
We had our Family Day and swearing in ceremony on Friday, and now I'm home for two weeks while I go out on FTO. I've met my FTO briefly, and he seems really cool...can't wait to hit the streets!! We have maily interstate responsibilities in my area, and there are several major ones running through here with lots of wrecks, so I'm sure I'll get plenty of experience with that SP-50 pad and accident investigation. It will be great, though...these next two weeks will remind us all why we are here.
I'll keep you posted!
