Hmmm... I don't know. I'd have to measure. Somthing around a couple inches. I never really gave much thought to it... it's a typical U.S. Marshal badge.

My Cincinnati Police Bi-Centennial badge (sterling silver)...I wore it for ONE day on patrol just to say I wore it on patrol...I didn't want to damage it...normally it stayed in the badge wallet for court...turns out that I was in a foot pursuit in the freaking WOODS that day...scuffed the sheet out of it...freaking asshat. Go figure. We got the jackass, though.

I haven't been to NYC in awhile so I have a quick question for the NYPD guys. How many numbers do they have on the badges these days? Mine has 5 but I know NYPD is a much larger department.
