I haven't posted in a while, sorry about that. It was all the normal stuff, trying to stay awake in class and all....This past week was our final phase of firearms, and it was sweet!!! After getting qual'd up on night fire certifications we started the fun stuff. We didn't line up and punch holes in targets all day, which gets pretty boring. We set up scenarios and did practical shoot/no-shoot scenarios, shoot and moves, delta drills, etc. They would break us off into 2-4 man teams and get us amped up with PT then have us sprint to the stations and engage. That is a real eye opener if you think you can shoot pretty good. I thought I was a pretty good shot until after that, humbling (SP?) to say the least. I need to work on stress type shooting when I graduate.
Next week is Fort Pickett for driving. I also have my assignment which is great since I won't have to move. The wife and I have an appointment with a home builder tomorrow.
