A fellow officer calls and says, hey didnt you used to work/ live at?
I replied I did.
He says, I know an officer who needs to talk to you about a job applicant
from there.
Ok, have him call me.
The #2 guy from this small dept calls and asks about *********.
Wants to know if I know him, I replied, yes I did.
Want to give me some background on him?
No problem, good family, should have a college degree by now, wasnt in any
trouble with LEOs when I was there etc etc etc.........
Would you hire him for a Police Officer?
NOPE
(long silence)
Why?
He helped cover up an injury accident the summer after he got out of high school and lied to officers about the incident. (The boss said just to let the original report stand and there was no criminal charges or followup)
As far as Im concerned, he has a credibility issue.
Hmmmmmmmm. Guess we start the backgound on the next warm body.

On a clear night, I can see the other deputies emergency lights at least 10 miles away.
But it isnt flat here LOL
