Actual question asked by a guy I locked up the other night

I had a gal leave her purse at the bar, and they told her they gave it to police. She ID'd it but the officer asked her to check contents. She said it was all OK and left, but she was ticked about the now missing lid of MJ she had just bought. Asked me if they could do that??

I told her to go back and the police would be more than happy to let her sign for it and give it back to her. She didn't do it. ;)

Should have held paper for it anyhow. I've given returned items back and kept the cocaine. Of course, they didn't get the item back til after they bonded out :D

I was inbetween LE positions at the time so I wasn't involved. Hence she asked me. If I read you right on the "paper," I think they felt since it had been out of her control so long, anyone could have put it in there...or am I misunderstanding your post?

Generally what I hear when booking someone for possession is "You know the only reason the bust people for this bullsh!t is so they don't have to buy their own dope!"

I think each of the warrants was a 5,000 bond... so $35,000, LOL. And they were all Minor Misdemeanor or Traffic warrants.
