I need equipment

I don't know the best place to post this but I'll try right here!!:D

I have just joined up with the Scott County Sheriff’s Dept. K-9 Tactical Search Team. It is a volunteer operation that as you may guess requires lots of equipment. I was hoping if you have some old equipment that you are willing to part with that you would be kind enough to sell. Attached is a list of things I will need to stuff in my bag! If you can help me that would be greatly appreciated. I have deleted most of the equipment I already have.

K-9 Tactical Search Team Operational Equipment List

Personal Uniforms / Equipment
1. Uniforms
a. ACU – Woodland with boonie hat, brown boots
b. MARPAT – Woodland with boonie hat, brown or black boots
c. BDU / RAID – Woodland with boonie hat, black boots
2. Tactical Vest or Plate Carrier
a. OD Green or Coyote Brown (Avoid black)


5. CQB riggers belt- tan or olive drab


8. Wrist watch- worn with dial to inside or wrist
9. Name tape (Last Name Only) and Department tape ( SCSO )

Operational Equipment
1. Large assault pack- tan, olive drab, or camo
2. Hydration pouch- Camelbak, Hydastorm, etc.
3. Lenstatic Compass
4. Binoculars or monocular
5. Flare or distress strobe
6. Surefire Type Flashlight- carry spare batteries and bulb

8. GPS- optional; carry spare batteries if you choose to carry unit
9. Face paint- Woodland Colors
10. First Aid Kit (Small, Basics)
11. MRE- at least one full meal


16. E-tool
17. Fixed blade knife- approximately 7” blade with sheath

19. Multi-tool or needle nose pliers
20. Paracord 550- 100 ft. of tan or olive drab
21. Rappelling Harness (Swiss Seat will suffice) Not mandatory but highly suggested!
22. Rope- 3/8”, 100 ft. with two D-rings or carabiners Not mandatory but highly suggested!





31. Chemical light sticks- blue or green

What happened to not mooching from people you don't even known at a place where you have contributed nothing?

The members here have a long history of helping others. That ranges from sending old, replaced or un-needed equipment, to training programs, pictures, .pdf,s. it is amazing.

But to come in here with a laundry list of stuff you "need" is rude and shows a lack of decorum on your part.

That NOT patronizing enough for you?
