Black and White patrol cars

Kind of a traditional scheme..............we have blue and white scheme here.

In Germany we have green-white, green-silver and in some of the north states blue-silver. But in a few years I think we all have blue-silver or blue-white over the country. They will give us blue uniforms in the future here and some of the north states have them right now, also a few officers of the federal police.

LOL, what chief? Actually the Lt. in charge of the fleet is a goood guy, but he has to work with what the city gives him.

We'll just see who's laughing when you're driving that beat up black Lumina to the academy. Even our '92 Caprice is better than that.

Its kind of a mixed bag with our cars, but the one we're getting for EVOC (and the one I'm sure I'll be assigned to after field training) is a wreck.

Town doesnt have a lumina unless they stuck lazslo with a repo car. Town actually has "school cars" which are usually Vics that are a few years old

Yup, SSD.

They also changed the lightbar from a Code 3 MX7000 to a low-profile LED lightbar.

Elk Grove PD and possibly Rancho Cordova PD have also gone to black-and-white. Their new look is 100% better in my opinion.

I have a beautiful black and white sitting in my garage...now that's how a police car SHOULD look.

Nope, its an unmarked old Lumina. They did give him a pretty new Crown Vic for EVOC. That was a nice car. I will say, upon further inspection our little Impala wasn't too bad at all, especially because the Lt. got new tires and brakes put on for us.

But none of this really matters to this thread, what matters is that our black and white paint scheme is way cooler than a plain blue car. ;)

academy rumors say black and whites are coming back in south fl. i've seen some of the hollywood cars in the parking lot and think they look sharp.

The black and white's are just plain more visible all around. The alternating colors are great contrast and the look is unmistakeable law enforcement.

Yea, there is something about a black and white. We drive all black and they just dont have the same intimidation factor as this...........
