The guy was great - I've seen Glenn White, the Dallas Police Assn President, get nearly as passionate on local TV about a few things, but not to this extent, even when Officer Brian Jackson was killed by an illegal alien which the PD had two previous chances to deport.
And I have VERY RARELY seen a Chief of Police stick his neck out on ANY matter in public, so I guessed the first time I saw this video a few weeks ago that he was no Chief. A Chief would have given a sound byte of non-career-ending facts and then retreated off camera.

I agree 100% with what he said and it is something that needed to be said.
He is, however, paid by the officers to speak on their behalf. He will not suffer any flak or political consequences as some have suggested. He has the guts to stand up and say these things because that is his sole job, to represent officers.
I would expect nothing less from a union official. If those of you that belong to a union do not have this type of representation, you are paying the wrong person.Helen Keller graduated from college with honors. She was blind and deaf. So what's your problem?
