    texas law on tasers?

    anyone?

    As far as I know, only handguns require a license to carry in Texas, and only handguns are required to be concealed.

    TASERs are not defined in the penal code, nor are they restricted or regulated in any manner.

    If a person were to use one on someone, it would be treated as any other case of assault/self-defense.

    And as an aside, a person cannot carry on or about their person a handgun, illegal knife or club in Texas. A person with a CHL can carry a handgun concealed if the meet the statuatory requirements.

    There are also provisions for all of those weapons for military, LEO's, etc.

    And as it was said earlier, I think I'd rather have the handgun rather than the taser. :eek:
