    Time To Brag....

This forum is full of some distinguished law enforcement professionals...I'm curious to hear about some of the highlights of your careers.

So lets hear about your promotions, commendations, metals, units you have supervised ect... No modesty allowed!

If you're still working on whatever you hope to achieve, what are your goals?

I've always been in to traffic. Something about going to an accident, putting all the puzzle pieces together and figuring out who screwed up just delights me.

Working traffic is like hunting for me. Sitting next to some concealment, seeing that vehicle fly towards me, pulling out that lidar and BOOM...got 'em. Then the chase. Catching them, pulling them over. It's like a catch & release program..:D

I've thought about testing for a promotion, but honestly...if I could stay in traffic for the rest of my career, I'd be happy as can be.

My best pinch (arrest): There was a guy going around doing armed robberies of shoe stores. My first day off FTO, I go by the house. I see the car matching the description. It's the car!!!! I get a few cars behind me (looked like the OJ pursuit) and we stop/arrest the guy. It's him.

The best thing wasn't the praise from the supervisors, but the senior officers coming up to me and telling me what a good job I did. I'll never forget that...

Be advised, I'm mean nasty and tired. I eat concertina wire and piss napalm and I could put a round through a fleas *** at 300 yards. So why don't you hump somebody else's leg mutt-face before I push yours in.

As JD has posted above, I believe the majority here are recognized LE professionals(many are recognized or awarded by their prospective departments, in a way of "good job", or even further by commendations or medals).
Yet, they/we find release in educating the public, and yes(adversely) slamming the prospective troll.

I'm going to be awarded a silver cross because I've been here 9 years and haven't strangled my supervisors yet....

I've memorized how everyone above me likes their coffee. The smile on my captains face when he sees I got a 24oz black with ice and remembered the black(not white) lid is all the reward I need.
