    What now...plan B???

Ok so i've tried pretty much every agency around here and it doesn't look like i'm going to be able to get in, mainly due to my previous usage (from 11 years ago) so now i'm wondering, what other jobs out there are you guys looking for that can't get into LE...or can someone else suggest other jobs that would be along the same lines...thanks in advance.

Most Fire/EMS departments aren't going to be as strict on background investigations.

Propation/Parole offices may not be as strict either.

LOL...right!!! I tried ft worth but the last time they tested 1,700 people, yea thats right 1700+ people and out of that they were only going to hire 20-30...all other depts require you to have your EMT certification in order to apply...would it be worth it to get my cerficiation BEFORE and HOPE I can get in?

Most volunteer agencies will get you your certifications for little or no money, plus they can get you some experience to see if it is for you. I got my basic and "I" when I was in the Corps, but I got my FF certs through volunteering. Not a bad deal, plus you get to try it out and meet some good people.

As far as backgrounds go... Many of the decent paid organizations around here are just as strict as the LE agencies.

I used to think delivering packages for UPS wouldn't be a bad job. If they didn't start you out working in the warehouse and loading trucks I probably would have done that instead.

You could try the Coast Guard, as law enforcement tasks are performed by personnel from all ratings. There are also may opening virtually everywhere in the Corrections field.

What type of material are you using Couriers for and type vehicle would be required? Would it be worth a commute for me?

I would have to get you HAZMAT certified, and you need a van, but you would be making between 1500 and 2000 a week. Seriously, it's a great job if you dont mind driving.
